- Plan “experiences”.
- Replace one store-bought gift with one homemade gift.
- Replace one gift bought from a large corporation, with one from a local mom-and-pop shop.
- Give “time”. Suggestions: call a friend, visit grandparents, volunteer for a charity.
- Plan ahead to reduce stress and debt. Create your to do list and budget well in advance.
- Unplug from social media. Engage in your life and the people around you.
- Listen. Suggestions: listen to someone you perceive as “different”, listen to someone much younger than you, listen to someone much older than you.
